香港國際業餘冰球賽圓滿結束

2006年花旗集團香港業餘冰球會國際業餘冰球邀請賽經己於9月17日圓滿結束。
一連兩日的賽事及李逸朗和蔣雅文主持開幕儀式期間，真的吸引不少外界傳媒的來臨。當日簡直坐無空虛席，完全廣泛被報界和電子媒介覆蓋席上，包括TVB 和ATV也來到訪。
這兩日期間，有5隊分別來自加拿大、日本 (2隊)、菲律賓和澳門，以及香港藍隊、香港黃隊和香港灰隊進行18場激烈的賽事。
經過連場激戰，澳門冰上運動總會、三菱商事隊、加拿大迪爾他警察隊及香港藍隊進入金盃組爭奪冠軍殊榮；而馬尼拉慧星隊、日本隊、香港黃隊及香港灰隊則進入銀碟組爭奪冠軍殊榮。
「重頭戲」的金盃賽決賽，香港藍隊及加拿大迪爾他警察隊「埋身肉搏」後，在加時後以 4:4 打成平手。在幾經苦戰，最後在點球戰中雙方各射三球，香港藍隊三球全落空，而加拿大迪爾他警察隊憑一球擊中最後取得勝利，贏得全場總冠軍 (即金盃組冠軍)
在銀碟組決賽中，日本隊稍佔上風，終以3:1打敗香港黃隊，小勝奪魁，最終奪得銀碟組冠軍。

2006 International Tournament A Big Success

The 2006 Citigroup HKAHC International Amateur Ice Hockey Tournament held on 16 and 17 September was successfully completed.
The two-day tournament and the grand opening ceremony featuring popular artistes Don Li and Mandy Chiang had drawn much public and media interest. The spectator stand was packed most of the times and there had been extensive coverage of the event by both print and electronic media including TVB and ATV.
During the two days, five visiting teams from Canada, Japan (2 teams), Philippines and Macau and three HKAHC teams (Blue, Yellow and Grey) went through 18 exciting matches.
After the preliminary rounds, Macau, Mitsubishi, Delta Police and HKAHC Blue teams entered the Gold Cup Division playoff round, while Manila Comets, Hama, HKAHC Yellow and HKAHC Grey entered the Silver Plate Division playoff round.
In the Gold Cup Division final, HKAHC Blue and Canada Delta Police put on a most exiting and impressive match and came up with a 4-4 draw after Over-Time. Eventually, HKAHC Blue lost honorably by one goal at the 3x3 shoot-out and the Delta Police won the Overall Championship (winner of the Gold Cup Division).
At the Silver Plate Division final, Hama Hockey Club beat HKAHC Yellow by 3-1 and grabbed the Award.
