After reviewing the video, the supervisor have made a correction on the call on #51, first – “Minor penalty” for Body Checking have changed to a “Match Penalty” for Illegal Hit” and a “Match Penalty” for Fighting which the penalty was not reported to the scorekeeper to put on the scoresheet. In regard to the incident on Nov 7 game between IceWolves and Huskies, after reviewing all the reports and video, we found out that there were mistakes on the rules and penalties applied, also miscommunication between the on-ice and off-ice Officials!

HKAHC Council heard the appeal from the Referee Supervisor of the AHL Game#184 and went to great length to review the decision made on 24 April 2017 by the Disciplinary Committee. With new evidence presented in the hearing and professional views from a third party from overseas (experienced game official from Finland), HKAHC Council has verdict in an unanimous decision by taking into consideration of the new evidence and professional views, the suspension on Mr. Kelvin KO is now extended to six months with immediate effect.
